How the Journey Unfolds
- Meet at our office in the centre of town to get kitted up
- Take a quick 7 min bus ride to the boat ramp
- Hop on the boat and travel down the Upper Waiau River—we’ll stop along the way for commentary and to enjoy the scenery and take photos
- Yes, we do ‘spins’, but we’ll start slow and gain your confidence, as they are surprisingly smooth and fun, not scary!
- Emerge onto Lake Manapouri for a show-stopping vista and serene silence
- Go ashore in lush beech forest for a very easy stroll and learn about the local flora & fauna of Fiordland National Park
- After a wee (secret) treat on the lake, head back up river for more FUN!
- Back at the boat again, ride on the bus back to town or check out our combo options for alternative means of transport instead

- FREE parking & secure storage available at our office
- Allow 2+ hours for the entire tour – bathrooms are available throughout
- The stroll during the beach landing is very easy for all to enjoy
- Departures are weather dependent – heavy rain will affect availability – we will not make anyone boat in the rain!
- Cancellations made 24 hours prior to (local) departure time will receive a full refund
